One of London’s most exciting new talents, Joe Walker is already making waves in the Uk Jazz scene for his powerful tenor sound and fearsome band leading.

Currently studying on scholarship at Trinity Laban Conservatoire (and previously Junior Guildhall). Joe is in demand both as a leader, sideman and composer. He fronts his own quartet – who recently performed a sold out set at the Trinty Laban Union – as well as performing around London at venues such as Pizza Express Soho, Hideaway Jazz Club, Karamel, and London Jazz Festival – as well as touring around the Uk.

Joe’s latest project brings together a quartet of London jazz rising stars Johnathan Vel, Finlay Mackenzie and Douglas Wright to perform a set of Joe’s original music and hand- picked compositions. Featuring intense spiritual energy, complex interplay, and a relentless forward momentum, the group aim to honour the stylistic legacy of John Coltrane and his infamous quartet.
