Create Your Future is a new employability project that aims to build better opportunities for women from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority (BAME) communities living in Haringey and Enfield.
Launched in November 2016, Create Your Future is a 3-year programme that aims to support women of all ages who are unemployed or economically inactive and facing challenges getting into work, education or launching their own business.
Create Your Future aims to do this by helping to:
-develop confidence and transferable skills
-provide careers guidance
-build links with employers and paid work experience
-build support networks
-connect with the creative industries or other chosen sectors for employment, enterprise and educational opportunities.
We also connect women with personal mentors and role models from their community and chosen sector, who will be there to help guide and navigate them through to the world of work.
We provide regular, good quality, inspirational careers guidance, including 1-2-1 ‘action planning’ sessions to support women in realising their personal objectives. Sessions are tailored to needs of participants, based around topics such as:
-Enterprise and Self Awareness
-Setting up your own business
-English language and IT skills for the workplace
Upcoming sessions: to register for a personal 1-2-1 ‘Action Planning’ session, or our ‘Setting up your Own Business’ workshop on 5th May, email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com, or alternatively call 020 8829 1318.
Create Your Future as a project has strong links to the creative industries and is supporting participants looking to explore their creative skills or take careers to the next level.
