Create Your Future launches on International Womens Day 2017

The Collage Arts team launch Create Your Future, new 3-year project for ethnic minority women from Haringey and Enfield who are out of work and looking to develop the next step.  The project aims to help women build better opportunities and progress to brighter futures and is a partnership with Community Links, funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund.

Preeti Dasgupta, Deputy Director, Collage Arts says: “It’s fantastic to lead this project for women of all ages from Black, Asian, Ethnic Minority and Refugee communities. Create Your Future will offer non-formal and safe spaces where women can share experiences, develop know-how, build networks and fulfil their potential using community engagement, arts & creative industries as tools for change.  Launching the project on International Womens Day in Wood Green’s cultural quarter and community hubs promotes a message of inclusivity and gender equality, raises awareness about the role of women and communities in building brighter futures for themselves and recognises the contribution of women to the arts, community and wider world of volunteering and work.”
