Voices for the Future – embedding creative practice to improve oracy
Voices for the Future exhibition and performance will be taking place at Alexandra Palace Theatre on 17th May.
This event is a celebration of a 2-year project, funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Teacher Development Fund, aimed at embedding creative and anti-racist practice in Haringey’s primary schools.
We are particularly proud of this piece of work and feel it resonates with current thinking recently around increasing oracy through embedding creative practice. We have and it has worked!
Since September 2022, we have been placing an artist (in drama, music or art) in six primary schools across the borough. These artists have been working closely with teachers to develop their skills and confidence in using the arts in classrooms both within dedicated time to the art-form, as well as using it across other areas of the curriculum.
Attendance to the event is by invite only, enquiries to [email protected]
More updates will follow after the event.
