Young Writers poems on show

I need.... poem

Poems by young creative writers have gone on display in the Long Lounge, Karamel – Collage Artspace 1, 4 Coburg Road, London N22 6UJ

“Every Saturday, a fun and talented bunch of young writers get together to explore the world of poetry and ideas – using original starting points and unique writing approaches they put pen to paper and week-in-week-out without fail and leave the room with a stunning poem.  They have fun in the process, gain skills in performing and improve confidence, make new friends and put Tic-Tacs in my coffee.  Over the months they have grown in stature, craft and ability – just read these poems to see what I mean – but watch your coffee while you do, because you never know who is Tic-Tacking you!”

Paul Lyalls Collage Voices Creative Writing Club Leader

The words of the young writers have been displayed in such a way to show the power in their voices. They are shown in bold fonts, colours and inspired by the style of Jenny Holzer, an American neo-conceptual artist.  The main focus of her work is the delivery of words and ideas in public spaces.  Her work is provocative and uses text pieces to provoke gallerists, institutions and the art audience.

Collage Voices brings young people’s voices to life through performing arts, creative writing and digital technology.
