THE struggle continues… could easily have been the subtitle for Andrew Wiard’s show.

A committed and ever-present purveyor of high quality photography of our political scene, his first major retrospective is perhaps overdue.

Yet “Us and Them” chronicles many radical challenges faced by citizens in the UK since the 1970s and, with about 60 powerful photographs, it offers a historical sweep that is a timely reminder to those who try to pin the blame for society’s current woes on either Blair or Cameron, according to taste.

Wiard is not just a good photographer but a photo-journalist on a mission.
