Featuring:

HE IS A PEGASUS

HE IS A PEGASUS is the solo project of 23 year old multi-instrumentalist, David Butler. Hailing from Coventry in the Midlands, David Butler has been writing music and gigging regularly since he was 10 years old. That experience is clear in his electrifying live shows, amalgamating the influences of Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Bon Iver and more into his own unique and inimitable style, impressing audiences throughout the UK with an eclectic technical range; with furious, energetic guitar and haunting, unaccompanied melodies.

His self-produced EP, ‘In Joy’, is the most recent offering from HE IS A PEGASUS. A 5 track effort, ‘In Joy’ shows off Butler’s uncompromising approach, bursting at the seams with innovation and an amped romanticism. Roaring post-rock is beside songs of devastating quietness to create a beautifully paced album. But it’s onstage where Butler has been building an impressive reputation – stunning vocal range and lyrical sophistication make HE IS A PEGASUS a poignant and bounteous artist, so catch him live while you can.

NOME

“It won’t take long for you to experience the power of the quartet, from sweeping musical arrangements to anthemic choruses.” – Diffuser.

“With rushing synths and pounding beats, NÖME has all the makings of a genuine stadium rock outfit and it doesn’t seem entirely out of their reach.” – We Close Tonight.

NÖME released the single ‘Nineties Child’ in June 2014. It was recorded at Assault and Battery Studios.

The debut EP ‘She Won’t Wait’ was recorded during 2013 in Las Vegas with producer Eric Rickey and is available on CD, iTunes and Spotify.

“Epic songs of lost love and lost youth with a catchy chorus, NÖME have found the elusive formula for incredibly emotive songs”- Jed Shepherd

MALAIKA

Malaika is a singer-songwriter from Ireland, who plays soulful R&B tunes inspired by her African-Irish roots.

She graduated with BA (hons) from Leeds College of Music – one of the UK’s leading music conservatoires – which saw her collaborate with Iain Archer (Snow Patrol), work with different bands and a professional vocal coach. This focus led her to be a session singer for producers and songwriters across the UK, singing on R&B and pop tracks. She quickly flourished into a widely recognised pop artist in Northern Ireland playing large-scale festivals and public events.

Malaika’s songwriting indulges in luscious yet witty jazz chords with a cheeky reggae twist. Her smoky soulful vocals are instantly gripping, and with a fiery attitude on stage she will blow you away. She may small but carries a big voice.
