Preeti Dasgupta, the jazz programmer at Karamel, explains:  “Collage Arts are pleased to be able to go ahead with our Lockdown EFG London Jazz Festival 2020 sessions.  We clocked up audiences approaching 2,700 viewings over the opening weekend.  From the comments we got our audiences were pleased with what they experienced.

We knew that most of the artists had not had many gigs since March. We wanted to create a feeling of being in a club. We have a great technical crew who have created really atmospheric videos for us to stream.

We do not receive any funding for our jazz programme and so hope that – if you can – you will make a donation, it will help us to keep supporting these great musicians.

Karamel, our venue in Wood Green will be open again in Spring 2021 – with great food and of course great jazz. We look forward to seeing you then”
