Penny Elder Exhibition

Solo exhibition of works by Penny Elder, launched at Karamel, Chocolate Factory 2.

“Travelling has always inspired my painting, whether in India with its vibrant rich colours or Antarctica with its cold icy wastes.  The images in this exhibition reflect this, with memories emerging from these experiences.  I found doorways in parts of India fascinating and also the concept of stepping through from exterior to interior, or from inside seeing beyond, either literally or as externally and internally relating parts of the self.  Relationships and connections between both shapes in a physical sense or connections emotionally as we interact with others has always interested me, and these I have tried to represent in abstract form.”

The exhibition runs from 23rd January to 10th March 2017 (Private view 23rd February)
