Creative apprenticeships – what does this mean for employers?
If you are an employer in the creative industries, we can find you a dedicated young person to work and train with you. Or may also be able to help you get funding to support industry specified training for someone you already employ.
The apprenticeship is likely to take about a year. You will do some on the job training and we will supplement this with off the job training (either on day-release or in blocks), leading to a level 3 qualification.
Funding is usually available for 16-18 year-olds and part-funding is available for eligible people over the age of 19.
Through the apprenticeship your employee develops knowledge and skills in projects and events; marketing, promotions and digital communication; working as part of a team; responsibility and leadership; health and safety, and understanding how your business operates and how things need to be done.
Typically, the apprentice will be employed full-time (30 hours or more) at a rate above the National Minimum Wage for Apprentices. For the duration of the apprenticeship, they will work for at least 16-24 hours per week with you and will also train off-the-job for 1-2 days per week at Collage Arts on day release (or in training blocks).
If you could create a vacancy suitable for an apprentice to work in your organisation, please contact the learning team on 020 8829 8900 or email firstname.lastname@example.org providing a short job description of the role(s) on offer and your company details.
