EUROPEAN STEP PROJECT
The Supporting Talent to Employment Programme (STEP), a European Leonardo da Vindi Lifelong Learning funded project, has the goal of developing a common European framework of competences for mentors and support workers in the non-formal learning sector. STEP operates in the creative industries, including music, drama, visual arts, media production and design. STEP works across 5 European member states with organisations that utilise informal learning, delivered through artistic and cultural expression, to provide vocational support to disadvantaged and disaffected young people. EUROPEAN COLLABORATION WITH MALAGA, SPAIN
Directors from Industrias Creativas & Co based in Malaga visited the Chocolate Factory 1 & 2 several times in 2007 & 2008. They were so impressed with what has been developed in both buildings that they decided to create a similiar environment for artists in Malaga.
Two sites have been approved by the Municipal de Málaga and Collage Arts are collaborating with Industrias Creativas & Co to develop both sites. Watch this space...
